This is a reference contract general conditions for a pavement or pavement maintenance project. Its use is by the owner of the project who signs an agreement (contractor’s agreement) with a pavement or pavement maintenance contractor to provide paving or pavement maintenance services. These general conditions are needed to protect the owner of the work and outline contractual obligations on the part of both the owner and the contractor. The general conditions are typically referenced in the contractor’s agreement, request for proposal, and any other contractual documents that the owner deems necessary. It is fifty two (52) pages in length.
